at a minimum, you are looking at different mouting brackets, different brake hoses, different rotor diameters and friction areas, different master cylinder, and different booster. I do ABS brake engineering for a living, and let me tell you that just swapping out the calipers is no small chore.

you will probably need a proportioning valve as well to try and keep the current front to rear balance. Which will need to be tuned for your caliper displacements and master cylinder size

I think I will take a caliper (measuring kind) and see what can be found.

Why do you want to do this?

Why would I want 4 pot brake calipers on my car? To stop faster of course.

you can bolt up 126 fixed caliper brakes or probably 126 floating caliper off a coupe, both with the vented rotor. I doubt that these for a 124 will bolt on.
Anything more is probably overkill and will not decreases braking performance. Tom W

I doubt you will gain anything, you can lock up the wheels on your W123 at will with the stock calipers. The calipers are not the limiting factor, the amount of rubber on the road is. I have never had my W123 brakes fade, have you? It is very unlikely you will end up with a net improvement in brake balance/performance.

hmm.. looking at the stories on the deaths, those are mostly caused by speeding or overzealousness. Just drive safe and at a speed you know you are in control of off the car. Dont drive too fast. Unless you want to feel like Takumi in Initial D on a mountain pass.
That way, you'd just to worry about all other vehicles around you that may lose control and hit you.

If you are saying you cannot lock the wheels on you W123 (even with wide tires) you need to repair you braking system, not try to re-engineer it. We have some little mountains here too, the stock brakes are more than adequate for that car. |

I heard a rumor the other night that they're talking about putting speed bumps along the Dragon.

Thatd be more dangerous than just posting a cop at the top and bottom and measure time.
