Did euro W124 300D's have self leveling?? Look!

This is a craigslist ad I found for a 1986 EURO 300D (W124) with a naturally aspirated 603 in it....but in the pictures it would appear that it has a leveling system pump on the front of the engine...and the fluid reservoir is there too....is this true? I didn't know the sedans had this feature..... Car looks nice....I wonder if its still for sale....

http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/616077202.html

Never seen one before....that'd be a rare and cool car to own. A N/A 603 must last just about forever!

I've seen a W123 sedan with SLS, so why not a W124?

I believe it. As said before, the W123 sedan could have SLS, why not the W124?

Imagine how rare that 603 SLS head must be. I bet the head alone is worth the $3000.

No kidding....that is one rare car they have there. I wonder how many of those even exist in the USA......?

Odd indeed. The SLS pump on the T124 is in the back of the PS pump, I've never seen a 124 with the pump on the head.

I'm not sure the head is worth anything, you'd have to find someone who needs one.

Years ago, I saw the SLS setup on a W115 220D.
Car was euro import, had been a taxi at one time.

I would love to have this car to remove engine and all tranny/shifter components, not to mention the rear SLS, but with the climate at home [] it really can't even be considered.
I've gone and looked at this car and it has zero value to fix up. Trust me! Parts car only. Engine does turn over but there is a serious short in glow plug system, which really is no big deal.
I think this car could be had for $500 or less. They just want it gone!!!
Good opportunity for somebody. Wrong timing for me......

SHEESH!!! This thread seems to be doing about 3200RPM in a 300SDL. I'd LOVE to have that car for parts. Any guess why it won't start? Does it have a #14 head?

That car is owned by a forum member TTCummings or such, it was in the forsale section of this site.

Don't mess up your head! Where would you ever be able to find another 616 SLS head?
