Tom, did or will you work in a Tri-Star somewhere like the one on Mutt's tailgate?

I have a studebaker and a benz grill badge to install in the grill. I bought some studebaker letters I want to install but it turns out they are single letters and I don't think I can muster the patience to install them on the vertical sides of my hood.

You can lay them out on paper (like, on the computer) then perforate and pounce thru them with chalk or the powder of your choice. Once pounced on the hood, layout done. Are they stick-on or drill & bolt type?

They're bolt on. pretty high quality pieces. One is a mb mileage award which I plan to mount without the mileage number, the other is a nice red studebaker emblem of the period. They will mount in the grill I think. The back of the truck is so plain I'd really like to put something there about the mb diesel engine I think.

Yeah, maybe a mb turbodiesel emblem...

Take a look at the tailgate on Mutt - it's in the build thread so I can't repost the pic.

Allow me to tee up the idea of the W123 TurboDiesel badge on the tailgate.

There are others that are pretty nice as well....

You should be able to repost the link to an uploaded picture.

Trying to repost my pic.......

Nope, won't let me. Clearly there's something I don't know here.

Link to tailgate pic. That looks nice Dan! I have a tristar I could use but I think if I do I'll use a smaller one and perhaps put a Studebaker emblem alongside it.

I don't know how big this is but a genuine article will probably double your project's cost since it's off a 540K -

I found it looking for vintage MB Diesel emblems like on the truck in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

THANKS! I had zero luck posting this (see following comments). That is the trunk badge from the 300SD. It uses an oval hole (sorta) in the middle and I put a dab of glue at 3 points around the circle to keep it from rotating.
