Well, I found one of the door trims and have been contacting people in the studebaker club in hopes of finding another. Turns out they are not straight but the door has a curve to it and they follow it. I believe it will not be that bad to build some clips to hold the trim on.

I found a soft pedal on the brakes when I had it running. I am using american made floating calipers on the brakes and am using the mercedes booster and mc. I am wondering if the american calipers require a one way valve on the mc to avoid this?

I am seldom sure of anything but if the valve stops returning fluid to the master. In my opinion it will not work.

I would first check that all the calipers are on the intended sides of the vehicle. You probably already have. You know what I mean by all bleeders being at the top of the respective caliper chambers. Otherwise there will be trapped air you cannot get rid of.

I have arranged to pick it up on Wednesday.

I'm gonna put the right trim on the drivers door and put on a flexible strip on the other side the same width. It'll cover the holes in the door and when I find another trim piece I can pull it off and replace it with the correct trim.

Woooo Hooooo!

Brought the CE home today!

It was a good day as it kept my mind off President Trump most of the day.

So the first picture is of myself and the three fellows who worked on the truck, Michael Leveque of Levair Engineering and restorations, his right hand man Steve (the older fellow) who did many things especially the wiring, and Logan Michaels Step son who is mainly a paint prep man.

I bought them and myself all matching shirts with the 39 studebaker on the front.

The last picture is myself and Rick Moon a Lafayette professional artist and fellow Studebaker loony. He has an Avanti with a supercharger. Its gold with an orange interior.

I thought taking 3 years on mine was bad....his restoration has been a 30 year project.

My plan was to drop it at the local glass shop to get the glass all straightened out but there is a running issue so tomorrow bright and early I'll be changing fuel filters

Good that it's on the road! There will be some start-up issues, you can bank on it, but that it'll be a great truck.

Rick might be interested that I'm affiliated with Avanti Chassis #6, the Burke Brothers LSR car. The owner is a good friend of mine and I've helped some working on the rebuild. If he's interested I can send some pics.

Thanks Dan! It steers well and seems to ride well, but the engine problem made it impossible to get over about 40 mph. Also things are rattling. I think I'll have to make some retaining devices to combat the natural engine movement.

It feels like it needs more castor.

I would not be surprised if he knows them. I'm not sure if Rick has email or not. I'll be happy to ask though.
