Set of 5- 602 injectors needed ASAP!

My brother has a 1991 300D 2.5 Turbo with a bad miss. It was sitting for a couple years and the fuel tank needed to be replaced (rusty goo inside). The entire fuel system (except for the IP and injectors) has been cleaned or replaced. I believe one or more of the injectors is bad. The car is still drivable, but is needed and can't be down for the time it takes to send the injectors for rebuilding. Does anyone have any rebuilt injectors or a good set of used injectors that I can install? They are different than the 616/617 injectors (I have plenty of those). Thanks, Rich Please pm or email: wvobenzs@yahoo.com

Try sending a PM to Greazzer. He may have some on the shelf. I know he does for 616/617 but not sure of later models....

If the miss is present at idle do the Injector Cutout test and locate which Cylinder the miss is on.
(Injector Cutout Test: While the Engine is ideling loosen one of the of the Fuel Injection Hard Line Nut at the Injector or the Fuel Injection Pump; that cuts off the Fuel that would be injected into the Cylinder. If the Injector is good your miss will get worse and the rpm will drop. If the Injector is bad there will be little or no change in the rpm.)

If you did the above you actually located the Bad Cylinder. To see if it is the Injector you need to swap the positions of a good Injector with a the suspected Bad Injector.

If the Problem follows the suspected Bad Injector you have an Injector Problem. If the Problem stays on the same Cylinder you have a problem in the Engine or inside of the Fuel Injection Pump Element.

If you do find it is the Injector you also have the option of replacing one Injector or having that Injector tested to see if it can be reused.

The miss is constant, not just at idle. It does get smoother at freeway speed (not noticeable), but is always there when accelerating.

Have you checked for leaks around any of the injectors?

Diesel 911 has the winner. Crack each injector until the miss stays and nothing else changes

you'll have to contact Greazzer for the rebuilding price, and move this to PM for the used parts price.
