Anybody heard from Stretch? How are ya, buddy?

Stretch hasn't been on here for three weeks now, whereas he generally logged on more than once a day. Anybody heard from him?

Hmmm, hope he doesn't have any health difficulties. He is one of the most consistently helpful and cheerful folks around here.

Was just thinking about him yesterday, related to rebuilding a lift pump. Hopefully he's OK.

How's it look now? Stretch is amusingly always changing his user title -- currently, he was acceptable in the 80s .

X2. He helped me tremendously via his DIY guide when I removed my first engine -- a classic DIY writer.

I also sent him an email today and will definitely post again if I get a reply. He lives in the Netherlands and has family in the UK, so hopefully he is just spending some time with his family and away from the computer. Stretch: drop us a line if you see this. We are worried about you.

For sure hope someone hears soon. He's always been one to respond with ideas that are so productive.

Stretch aka Army was last on this forum on 17 Feb and on BW 15 Feb. I make that a bit over two weeks. Though he is a stalwart and a fixture of our boards, I am pretty certain he has taken short breaks before.

If I recall well, he has school-age kids. The school terms over in Europe don't run the same timeframes as ours here (kids are only off school in summer about six weeks, for example). It may well be a term break where he is.

Nice to see the caring and concern, however, says a lot about community.

Hey have any of you guys missed LEATHERMANG? He hasn't been on in a while, I miss his argumentative nature. Think he is a farmer, maybe chasing his Cows around the field.

We need a list of the regulars, and keep a running list when each one checks in.

Speaking of community, here is an older thread where Stretch is asking about leathermang as well:
