Another Mercedes followed me home.

I did it again, been looking at a 240D on CL for a few weeks, and finally took the bait.

At least I didn`t let this one slip through my fingers.

Was owned by an old lady, who ran it out of oil.
It is an 80 240D, white, no Sun Roof, tan interior, automatic, shows 183K miles.

Interior is in really good shape. Great head Liner, seems to be a crack free Dash.
Only bad thing is a "V" shape tear in the rear seat about 1" long. might be able to glue it down?
Still has the old Becker Analog Radio.

Guy swapped on Bundt Wheels with ehhh sort of ok tires.
1/2 Shafts look ok except for the cracks in the rubber boots, but not through or open. Probably the original Homokenetics.

The trunk area looks pretty clean, and the Gasket is in great shape.
Both front door bottom edges where the gasket fits into the groove are rusty. really the only runs I found.
All 4 door gaskets are in bad need or replacement.

The Engine compartment is in need a good cleaning. Great, now I can use my new (to me) Hotsy 555SS hot water pressure washer I picked up off CL also a few months ago.

OH price, I guess you are all chomping at the bit for that, $750.

That is what I paid for the Hotsy, something about $750,

I did have to drive about 240 miles to pick her up in Santa Rosa, Ca. which is north of San Francisco, and Iam in Nevada.
So had to climb over that rock pile known as the Sierra Nevada Mt range, and go over a couple elevations of 7400 and 8K ft.then down to sea level.

Got out of here around 8:30am and got to the guys place about 3:10pm.
And finally back to our place at 1:40am this morning. Was a full day.

Now I can line this one up with the 78 240 I picked up 2+ yrs ago that was also ran out of oil by a young girl, but got it for $300.

What`s up with women not checking their oil? I have seen a bunch on CL like this lately.

3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

80 240D Naturally Exasperated, 4-Spd 388k DD 150mph spedo 3:58 Diff

We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works
