Could it be that the car has a couple of really BIG turbos under the hood?

5 is ok,really a turbo diesel does not need mufflers. They choke with carbon. My gas engine,I use turbo mufflers instead of stock, and delete the cats.

If drivin a Benz doesn't get one enough attention he should start wearing an ascot.

The only proper way to vent a Mercedes Diesel is thru the right front fender.

Rather than custom, I considered a cheap system when I had to replace mine. My problem was that I still have to pass periodic emissions tests even with a "98 e300. I replaced it with a stock Mercedes system.

When they check mine, they just read the codes, checking that little plug or outlet near the steering wheel. Anything but a stock system may screw up the codes.

Pass on the twin ginormous chrome tailpipes. They look like handlebars for a small child's push toy.

I know much is lost in the video, but it sounds much less raw than I was hoping for.

If I move back to Texas someday, but would look even dorkier on a W123.
Wonder if that car is "all hat, no turbo".

I posted that car a couple years ago. Any thing to be different I guess.

There have been a few here on the forum that have put it through the hood. And a few posted from CL.
