w123 skid plate

These things seem to be pretty rare, I do live in the desert and do find myself on dirt roads quite often and with dirt roads come rocks. I have found some pretty good pictures and could probably build one just wondering if anyone knows were to find something like this.... for a 30 year old car

I say build it, and make it better than factory.

Id come all the way from the front bumper back over the oil pan. Reason for this is you protect the radiator too. I once bought a cheap 300TD where someone had tapped a curb which was exactly the correct height to hit that thin body metal under and behind the bumper, and it was pushed up and cracked the radiator plastic.

They jumped up in price the first of the year. I paid $50 for one a long time ago and sold it to a buddy for $50, thinking I could get another if I wanted to. Called the dealer and list went up 3X when they did their annual price adjustments.

Despite Mercedes of South Atlanta showing it, I think the radiator plate is NLA. MB South Atlanta actually shows a lot of parts that are in fact NLA. I really doubt they have some huge stockpile but rather the program that website uses to search their catalogue displays the "price when last available" because my parts guy can tell me the prices MB Atlanta is showing, but they are not order-able.

I agree - I bet the front shield is NLA - I can't find it listed at the dealer on my source over here. The larger skid pan has indeed gone up a whole lot since I bought mine. Now 90 euros plus tax. Wait for the next sale.

I had a feeling the skid plate prices would go up. My car already has one, so I bought another set and kept in storage (including mounting hardware)

What? They raised the prices to $112!

I was thinking the other day I should buy another one just because. The last one I paid $35.63 from the classic center.

I ordered both and the dealer called me back and said that there are 26 oil pan protection plates in stock in Germany.
No more radiator protection plates available, no longer available.
