OM 602.011 Looking for Part (?rear oil recirculation base)
OM 602.011 Looking for Part (?rear oil recirculation base)
I have a 5-cylinder OM 602.001 engine, which has a damaged part which was causing massive oil leakage. I am not sure what the part is called. ?Rear bearing seal, OR rear oil recirculation base. If anyone can help identify this part (pictured, surrounding the shaft, having 5-6 bolts holding it in place), I would like to order a replacement. Thanks Last edited by MicHALP; 07-06-2017 at 10:11 AM. |

THANKS for reply.
When I searched for that part, it doesn't look the same. Sorry about the quality of the picture - the part I need has a circular centre, but then 5-6 flat sides surrounding like a 'pentagon'. Hope that helps... |

Are you looking for the seal or the seal carrier (or housing= aluminum piece that holds the seal)? It is possible that oil is leaking between the block and the housing (sealed with anaerobic sealant). You should replace the seal and inspect the housing for cracks at the minimum.

Crankshaft Rear Seal Housing OM 602.011
YES YES!!
We are gettting closer. There are definite cracks in the HOUSING of that Real Crankshaft Seal. I need the HOUSING part.... like pictured here, but this is not the exact shape needed for the OM 602.011 still searching... UPDATE: I think I found it - Crankshaft Cover (Rear) ATTACHED PICS Last edited by MicHALP; 07-06-2017 at 12:08 PM. |

I can't find a 602.011, but this is from a 602.961. They should all be the same, but you never know.
