diesel reluctancy to start after it sits for a two months?
I am off at school without my mercedes
and i finally talked my parents into going to start it up and taking it for a drive(they both have much nicer cars so there is no real reason they would rather take mine anywhere). My dad said that it started, but didn't feel like it was hitting on all cylinders for about a minute, he then backed it out, it started getting smoother and then died. He then said it took forever to get her to fire up again after that, and it idled very roughly for about two minutes and was smoking a fair amount(did not mention color) and them smoothed out, and ran perfectly for the half hour or so they had it out(the took it for a ride along the beach, it has a nice big sunroof and big windows ). Should i be concerned about anything? I figured it'd take much longer than a couple months to cause her any hesitation starting....... I know i have leaky injector lines(lines that run from injector to injector) but that is the only fuel problem i have that i am aware of. Does this sound normal and okay to everyone?? This car must last me at least 2-3 more years so i'm a little concerned about reluctancy to start especially during the winter. I have no place to plug in for a block heater and it will probably get down to the thirties or so(stop laughing you northerners ) thanks in advance guys,R
