Z and I have both asked you where you would draw the line in terms of lives lost and/or resources spent in pursuit of this invasion. I don't recall your exact response, but was left with the impression that there was no price too high... Perhaps you didn't take the question seriously.

I wouldn't confuse crypticism with succinctness. It was completly understandable, to me anyway, what it was that Bot was saying. The only thing I would change is that to me your beliefs seems more dogmatic than religious.

To those two catagories I would add abysmally uninformed and wholeheartedly willing to stay that way. Hence the dogmatic beliefs and the inappropriate use of emotion to make decisions and interpret events.

Of course each catagory wouldn't be mutually exclusive. I'm sure that one could possess qualities of all three, or maybe just two, or one for that matter.

Look at what the jackass said of me. I responded in-kind.

With all due respect.

There is so much material there. It's late.
Oh come on, today is a new day. Let's take something simple that you brought up in another thread a while back. I think you mentioned that something like 50K species go extinct every day or so and stipulated that that was bad. What was it again?

I cannot change you. Perhaps you can change yourself by reflecting on my response to your uncharitable mischaractarization of me.

I didn't put words in your mouth. I'll ask it agian, what price (in blood and/or resources) is too high to justify this invasion?

Is that an attempt at humor or what?

A response in kind is not beneath me: Those who fail to see the necessity of deposing the Iraqi regime are either Islamist sympathizers or cowards.

Real funny, huh?

You've answered it as best you can. I believe that is what you believe. You think it is simple and so your answers are simple.

It's a goofy question. It presupposes a simple answer. I have often given my perspective on the whole thing. Takes several pages. Go back and read that.

Yes, I think everything of value is simple. The further we stray from simplicity, the further we stray from truth. Easy questions, easy answers -- the rest is bulls**t. That is precisely why I loathe politics.

Good, then you should appreciate these perspectives.

All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.

Then why do you drive a Mercedes rather than walk? The degree of complication is vastly different. Is the Mercedes not of value?
