The last of the great woody wagoneers!

(not this one pictured)

Its a blue 88, 140k, and the seller (woman) claims everything works, including the AC. (We'll See) She said it has the beginnings of rust on the rocker panels and is dry everywhere else. There's probably rot everywhere, and if the rust on the rockers is big enough to put my finger through, I'm walkin'.

Good luck! I've been a fan for a long time (but haven't owned one yet), warts and all.

If you haven't been there yet this site has a pretty good full size jeep forum http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/

Sun is out, all the windows that have screens are open (working from home today), and Darling Wife just called to say she is on her way home from a day of escorting Ma through doctor appointments. Life is good.

This afternoon will include shoring up the base cabinet of the Big Knights (awesome 17th century sideboard we picked up in CA) so that it can go into the kitchen later tonight.

Weekend of "de-ghettoing" the porch and yard lies ahead. These two trucks

were full of mostly utter crap from Ma & Ed's FIVE storage units last weekend; now that crap is mostly in our barn (yes, you see a Ryder truck attempting to pull a stuck Budget truck off a berm - BIL being a seaman came in handy since the only means of connecting these two beasts was nylon rope - freed the little truck just fine, thank goodness for torque!).

Gonna get the really obvious trash out of the barn, out of the yard, and off the back porch. I sense a dumpster in my immediate future......

That is great! Does it have the Mopar 360 in it? The AMC Wagoneer is one classy and capable truck. It was compared to the Range Rover. Tyler, you are on your way to some collection of vehicles. -- If you get it, you have must name her "USS Constellation"

I was thinking more along the lines of Ol' Hickory. The first rough frontiersmen commoner to ascend the classes and take the highest office in this nation.

Yes, it has the 360. The one I'm looking at this weekend may not be the one, but we'll see.

To get back on topic... I am POSITIVE that the Mopar 360 responds very well to a nice Edelbrock manifold and a Carter 4bbl. I had done that in my old Dodge Ram 350.

I like the idea of calling the truck "Ol' Hickory" too although it departs from the ST theme...
Hope it works out for you

Positive news about JB Weld. It's good stuff!

This weekend has been a JB Weld marathon. So far I have repaired:

- Flopping kitchen faucet handle
- Broken Mercedes ignition switch trim plate
- Non-grinding pepper mill
- Loose dishwasher door spring 'bumpers'

Next?

LMAO!!!

Looks like your "Fuel Economy" was max'd out at "SUCKS!"

The icing on the LMAO part was the fact that you're injecting Premium into those cylinders like a fireman at his first fire!

BTW, what are you using for a camera setup to get such a decent shot at 120mph on a straightaway?

What was the techique? Grab-Point-Click-Drop-OHCHITACURV!!!!?

The woman I was hoping would sell me my first woody never called, but the weekend wasn't a complete waste.

The search continues...
