I'm wondering, does that epoxy miracle thingy "Mighty Putty" he pitched actually work as advertised? Just stick it on a leaky pipe and presto, it's fixed? Or shape into the handle of a coffee cup? Anyone try that stuff? He was pushing a three fer the other night.

Funny that he was a pitch man in Atlantic City...as was Ed McMahon in earlier times...and that they both died so close together.
I don't know about that one, but POR-15 has an epoxy putty that can be shaped like clay (I made my Prelude's shift knob out of it) and it cures underwater. $20/lb though.

EDIT: just searched and found this youtube clip of someone testing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypWJs_lb_Nw
It looks like another putty I've used which worked okay, but not as good as the POR 15. Also, you could stick a piece of gum on the cup with a hole in it and it wouldn't leak. I wonder how well it bonds to plastic. And on the mug test, she didn't apply any side force to the handle to see how well it bonded to the ceramic.
I always wanted that dual action saw invented by the french firefighter that Mays did an infomercial for, but I don't want to waste money trying it and finding out it sucks. Plus no idea on how expensive the blades are to replace.

Well, the update this afternoon was that Mays died of undiscovered heart-related issues. -Had nothing to do with getting hit in the head......that was checked out during autopsy. He was in that late first range of heart attack recipients up to 50 yr. old. One of my much younger Brothers had his first at 48 y.o. - sedentary - fatass - tobacco-user - poor diet - heavy-drinker - lazier-than-h#ll - unemployed since college graduation 20 yrs. prior. It was kinda expected, because of his lifestyle. Take care of yourselves, 'cause nobody else is going to do it for you. Get a check-up, especially if you are any of the following - sedentary, (non-exerciser) smoke/tobacco - heavy-drinker, nearing or over 40 y.o. & overweight.

As the MTI link shows, you need to add one more item to that list. "do cocaine".

No. He was talking about getting a checkup if you do all those unhealthy things. So if you are doing cocaine, tell your MD or NP.
