Dang you URO!
So... we know URO brand is not the best by any means. My first experience was with an upper control arm. Still installed since last late fall, but due to be replaced with all new front end this spring. During install the nuts provided stripped the ball joint stud so I had to use a second nut to secure things.
Then I had installed new manifold rubber hoses for the injectors. The manifolds were some German company and seem ok, but the crossover and feeder hose have collapsed. First the crossover that goes under the fuel dist. It collapsed and cracked open causing a rough idle. I had the old one to put back in. Then today I found the feeder, the ribbed one, has done the same. Time to call the supplier and return. Glad I kept the old parts.

I'm becoming more and more brand conscious, especially when it comes to German cars. Chinese made automotive parts may not work well with German engineered automobiles.

I avoid Uro for just about anything. Especially suspension parts. Its Lemforder or Febi Germany only! I've sent stuff back (at their cost) because it wasn't made in Germany.

It is more a way of doing things. As an example US Cars used sort of run of the Mill Technology and Metal Alloys but put enough Metal mass into the parts to give and adequate life to the Parts.
On a Car like a BMW you will find reduced mass of Metal but higher quality Alloys and perhaps made to higher tolerances. So when the Chinese make a part the same size with in inferior Metal Alloys and poor tolerances they will cause grief on a German Car. On a US Car that used a large Mass of Metal to gain strength and not so high Tolerances a Chinese Part is closer to the US Part than a German Part. Meaning the Chinese Part has a better chance of more compatible with US made Cars.

Bad news.
My Üro Motor Mounts have more than 4 years on them (I was surprised when I found the paper work that the Motor Mounts were Üro.). My Üro LCA Bushings and Upper Control Arms (one Boot has a tear) are still working. Only about 1 year old the Plastic Rear Sway Bar Links are Üro. (I bought a compete front end kit and it hat all Üro parts; I did not use all of the Parts in the Kit.) I did not need to replace the Tie Rods or Lower Ball joints so I left those alone. Later I found out the Üro Ball joints would likely be more difficult to press in due to the OD being different then Lemfoerders. Both Radiator Hoses are Üro. I have to concede that on one I had to use STP on the Nipple to get it over the Nipple. I admit the Car drives a low amount of miles mostly around town. A long trip is 10 miles one way. I said in one of the other threads I think that 4-5 Years ago the Üro parts might have been made better; but have no facts to back that up.
