I don't think it would take much on the part of the Federal Government to turn Homeland Security into the US's version of the SS.

It's already there. A few years ago, I met a girl whose brother works for them. She shared with me that he works at a major airport. She then bragged about him forcing travelers to get on their knees to submit to a search at gun point. Her next statement surprised me. "You know, they can violate your rights". I then asked, "Is that only at the airport or can they violate rights anywhere?" She replied, "Anywhere".

Yes Homeland Security is a scary agency. Actually the people who put it in place and keep it in place are the ones to be scared of. TSA in particular is not as scary as they are just plain silly. The only way I fly in an airplane these days is if myself or someone I know and trust is at the controls.

One thing that is being overlooked is this: Once the number of protesters vastly outnumbers the number of police, it is a different game. The people have always had the power to strip government of it's power, however, the problem is most of them actually support governmental insanity.

After years of the mindless moronic people supporting governmental insanity, there is no turning back. The government by it's very nature becomes more and more corrupt with POWER. It's the nature of things.

Hitler and the Nazis comes to mind......anyone caught speaking out against the Nazi party and/or Hitler was promptly dealt with and I'm not talking pepper spray here.....
Yes we do. We spent money on them so we do.

Which brings us back to point one. We have to expect that the cops look out for themselves.

And I believe that was the reason Tim McVeigh did what he did. Because he felt it was so bad, we had to have another revolution. As I said, had he succeeded and his govt installed, in 200 years, we'd be hailing him as the next hero. I'm sorry that you are frustrated but that doesn't mean you can simply declare that things are broken so you are forced to take the lawn into your own hands. If we allow these idiots to simply do as they please, what is to stop the next group that declares things are beyond repair and we need a revolution and the next one and the next one?

Nobody is saying you cannot protest. Do it legally. Don't force yourself on others. There are places for protest just as there are places to camp, take a leak, etc, etc. Your right to carry protest signs is NOT being infringed on when I say you can't shout your message in my ear. Your right to protest on a public street ends when you are using megaphones to blast your message into the wee hours of the morning, for example.

They operate undercover and only come out when they see a 'suspicious' looking traveler or travelers.

They can have all the protests they want, in my opinion, things are not going to change. The real battle is the haves versus the have nots and the haves benefit greatly by the system that is in place. The haves will simply send out the police to squash any hint of revolution.

Well, that's sneaky. I wonder if the guy serving me the Fried Rice at the airport was actually a vendor. Maybe he was one of these people and perhaps a grain of rice was actually a transmitter and might be relaying my position.

Sorry, I think someone that high up the food chain that knows that much might have a tighter set of lips. Much like the war veterans that brag about some of the secret missions they were on. Does this source have a name and is willing to testify and provide proof or should we accept his/her good word.

Don't know, I was having a slice of pizza and struck up a conversation with the girl who then opened up about her brother. She could have been lying, but then again, she knew a lot of pertinent facts.

It's well known that Air Marshals travel incognito on flights. They might be the guy sitting next to you reading Time magazine.

As someone said "There are 10000 seal members in Vietnam and I know all of them". I'd be a lot more leery about some Delta Force member or other covert ops people who claim all kinds of heroic deeds that "If I told you, I'd have to kill you".

Yes and that is fine. What's the issue with that? They don't expose themselves unless absolutely necessary or draw attention to themselves. certainly they don't walk around the cabin in mid flight claiming "I am Sky Marshall Joe and I can do with you as I please" or behave like Eddie Murphy in 48 Hours in the redneck bar.

Best to look, act and appear as 'normal' as possible. Don't wear shoes with metal eyelets or belts with metal belt buckles. As a matter of fact, leave any metal items at home. Be prepared to have your cell phone seized for no reason. Submit to the full body X-ray machine or be prepared to get felt up by people you don't know. Be prepared to arrive at your destination only to find items missing from your luggage. Good luck, you'll need it.

There will forever be "have" and "have not" classes. I can strip everyone of everything and give them only $10000 and we will have the same issue again. Just a matter of time. Those that can will differentiate themselves from those that cannot and/or will not.

I don't blame people for being better than me. It is MY fault that I am where I am instead of where I would like to be. It is MY lack of ambition and/or abilities that lead me to where I am. It is NOT their fault for being more ambitious and talented. They deserved what they get as do I.

I had running shoes but my belt had a metal buckle that I had to remove. My cell phone was not seized. I went thru some new high tech scanner but no feeling up. I didn't have missing items in my luggage. So far, no scanner so I can't tell if I was bugged. You really have a lot of conspiracy theories, don't you? So, in your opinion, is it the Illuminati or the Freemasons?
