I rode in someone's Escalade that had those little flat looking tires on it...felt like a three ton skateboard. What exactly is their point anyhow? Anything besides looks or bragging rights?

Actually, the medical profession stole the "doctor" title from the philosophy students. In fact, esteemed professions such as surgeons has a very humble beginning--that as barbers.
