My take, a Phd is a DOCTORAL degree. So is a JD, so is an MD or an LLD. They're all doctors. The notion that a doctor is strictly somebody with a prescription pad in one hand and a syringe in the other is silly. A degree is a degree, and no, I don't have a Phd, I have an EdS.

Forgot to include a DVM. Anyone who thinks a vet doesn't deserve to be called doctor hasn't spent any time looking into how hard it is to get into veterinary school compared to medical school.
By the way, click and clack make the whole thing funny, sneering at people with Ph.ds in art history.

People who are perfectly capable of walking but who are too fat and lazy to do so shouldn't be allowed to use motorized shopping carts, ever.

That is the easy part. The hard part is making a living diagnosing a patient that cannot answer your questions. I can ask you whether it is a throbbing pain, shooting pain, etc, etc. How do you ask a dog that? Kinda like why sex with animals should be illegal. They cannot give consent either. What do you say to a dog? Is this a numb spot? Do you feel weakness? Push this way as hard as you can. AND, on top of that, as a MD, you treat 2 type mostly. Male and female. Sure you have the rare guy with both sex organs or the transvestite but your staple will be male and female. If you are a specialist, you treat only one type of patient or even one type of illness. As a DVM you treat a wide range of patients. If that doesn't make you want to scream, I don't know what will.

That's somewhat a matter of degree and interpretation, particularly what is being treated.

Did Palmer "heal" his first patient's deafness? Probably not. Asthma? no.

Do chiropractic adjustments "heal" a sprained or strained muscle? Well, it may assist in the natural processes of the body as a palliative adjunct, but the "healing" is being done by you.

Despite the length of time chiropractic manipulation has been in practice, there are few agreements in studies and surveys about efficacy, long term results and cost effectiveness.
