Volt's are pretty nice cars for the $32k or so they charge after the government rebate.

Not bad, but IMHO the new turbo charged 4 cylinder BMW is more interesting.

BTW anyone see the smoking lease deals on 3 series? $299 a month!

That's cheaper than keeping a 20 year old Mercedes on the road!

Another factor to look at - eventual trade-in value.

Which do you think will be worth more, selling after 10 years of ownership -

A well-maintained Jetta/Passat CDI, or an equally well maintained Chevy Volt with a worn out battery pack?

I know.

People will drive less.

Ample evidence of that during that last episode when diesel was touching $5.00 around here.

NFW people can spend $5K on fuel every year (1 $hitbox getting 12mpg going 15K per year).

$5k is about what I'm spending on my truck, about $100-$115 a week.

It sucks.

I wish I could get away with a 30mpg car, but sadly hard to carry lumber or do dump runs with one.

Each entry subject to verification before and many times postings have been removed, imagine that.

Wiki is the liberal source of knowledge.

Yahoo answers

Why do people view Wikipedia as a factual source?
It slightly annoys me when I see Wikipedia cited as a source, as if someone is basing their entire answer to a question on the information found there.

Wikipedia is no different th an Yahoo! Answers. Anyone can edit it, and provide opinion and misinformation rather than fact. You get some good information here and some bad information, and the same goes for Wikipedia.

As a parent/teacher (homeschool) I do NOT allow my children to use Wikipedia as a source. They can and have visited the site, but they must cite more legitimate sources than that.

Maybe an example would help clarify my post

Reading comprehension - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'll take credible sources over FNC's (or much of the media for that matter) questionable ones prior to criticism and discourse. I guess to someone who might believe that academic studies are liberal indoctrination (are you one of these??) an enormous online community citing scholarly articles would be liberal Gosh durn those kids and their computers!

Prove Wiki never been had. I'd rather go to the original source rather than rely on a second hand retread that some smack posted that could be dubious at best. Wiki is not a credible source. You can post bogus sourcing on that site too.Or weren't you aware of that?
You a Fox News Channel guy?

Ok perhaps you didn't get my poke with the reading comprehension. As I've said, there is a list of sources on the bottom of every page, most of them peer-reviewed and published. Not quite sure what you're missing.

See: reference list. A list of things that you can click on and look up, often peer reviewed and published. Wiki articles are a secondary source but cite firsthand sources. These sources are what you look at. Then you can even look at their reference lists for even more fun!
