What he asked is a legitimate question. Addicts will go to any lentgth to get a fix. That includes lying, cheating, stealing. It's the drugs doing most the talking

SS had her tested a month ago and she tested clean. That's what is confusing the wife and I.

Possibly an addict, and per CLKMan/her dad, an untreated bi-polar. Even with just the second half of that unholy combo, you've got a person who is making choices (not taking meds) that make her incapable of making rational choices... like choosing to not take her meds.

Darling Wife was previously married to a very nice man with very severe bi-polar disorder. She hit a point where she realized she would always love him but could never live with him.... he ain't a bad person, but he is broken.

I suspect the same is true of your daughter, C'man. Best of luck, follow your gut, and don't doubt yourself or your own darling wife - the broke inside her isn't something you did.

There are ways around it...put 2 and 2 together here. Pen bodies and glass tubes missing, torches missing, money scrapped...

Oh I know what's going on. I just have to out think her. If I have her arrested now, she will just have the excuse that her Father wanted rid of her and called the Police. I'm think for the long haul, say 10-15 years from now.

Just trying to help.

I'm a professional, but am only operating on what I've read. Perhaps the internet isn't the best venue to share such information. Good luck to you!

I already know what I am going to do in this situation, I just wanted to know what everyone here thought about it.

I finally got her out of the apartment. Then I noticed that the window AC is missing. I am calling the police right now.

But at the time they seem large. Exercising some perspective at those times can help them define serious to almost neglishable problems.

Watching the effects of drugs on individuals. I only wish that we had actually had a real war on drugs. I have heard all kinds of excuses why we did not.

I care too much for people to really understand why we did not. What a waste of life comes to mind for so many addicts. The only thing it all proves to me is that we can be our own worse enemies quite easily.

Hopefully for your family there might eventually be better times ahead. The old expression that rock bottom has to be hit sometimes by a troubled individual first is a possibility. This sounds like it is getting closer if not present now. Your thread may have been a wake up call for some parents to watch their children a little closer. If so it has been more than worthwhile. No family gets a blanket excemption from potential problems.
Yep... this morning when I notice that the window AC unit is missing that was the final straw. The police have been called.

I left the shop early around 2:00 and came back around 3:30 to catch my daughter at the apartment. She was bringing my window AC back. I guess that call from my off duty police friend did the job.
