"Thanks for bringing up the knife incident in China. It is a perfect comparison to the slaughter in the Connecticut. NONE of the children in China died. Last time I checked, alive is better than dead. Yes mental illness is an issue, but the proliferation of guns in the US is equally responsible for the deaths of these innocents kids. Knives can kill too but its much, much tougher to kill with a knife than it is with a gun - especially a semi-automatic. Gun control AND better treatment of mental illness both need to be priority in the U.S. Tony - please open your eyes to the issue of the excess of guns in this country. Someday a tragedy like this may affect your family. Maybe then you will feel differently about gun control."
