I am planning to do that next week.

If you have been paying attention I make no secret of my age.

I had a vey similar issue. A year or so ago I decided to pursue airrosti as it had helped with other ortho-like issues.

Four visits later, a problem that had plagued me for years was gone.

Non-invasive and WAY cheaper than any surgery you'll ever undergo.

Hi Mike, that looks like soft tissue treatment. I don't think the rotator cuff is soft tissue.

The video was childish. The closest I could find in looking for an awnser to a "what is this treatment" was this:

"At your initial consultation, your Airrosti provider will perform a thorough clinical assessment to evaluate your condition and determine the root cause of your pain/injury. This will be followed by soft tissue and joint mobilization through a hands-on approach to improve the healing potential of the target area and the surrounding tissue. When appropriate, a customized program of stretches and exercises will be prescribed to help speed recovery and prevent future injuries, and additional instruction will be provided for home self-care. "

WTF? Doesn't tell me much? Tells me nothing in fact.

My cardiologist talked me into EECP therapy for angina. Sounded like a good idea for my issues. What is EECP? EECP and Heart Regenerative Therapy - YouTube

I can only tell anyone who has back, especially lower back problems and cardiac problems to be very careful of this. Seven weeks of treatment bouncing on a bed 60-80 times a minute every day severely and quickly aggravated & brought out what I have since discovered to be severe osteoarthritis in my L4 & L5 vertebrae. WOWZA!!!. After a few visits and shots from a Neurologist, I saw an orthopedic doctor this past Friday & he gave me a new RX & script for PT. Said I wasn't ready for surgery...just yet.
If I could have predicted the future back in Sept., I would have taken a pass on the EECP & lived with the angina.
C'est la Vie.

Takeaway: Even passive, non-surgical treatment may have harmful side-effects. I'm glad your experience was positive, Mike.

Good luck with your surgery Tom.

I agree, but was surprised at the results. Not saying airrosti will solve your problem, just passing on my experience.

I hope you find a satisfactory resolution to your situation.

Met with the surgeon today. He read the MRI and says in addition to the torn rotator cuff I have some bone spurs due to artheritis, so they'll have to be cleaned up too. it will be an outpatient operation unless I don't respond well to the general anesthetic. I tried to get him to do it with a local but he said no dice. I guess they put me in a device that will have me sitting up strapped to some sort of device for the surgery. There will be four bore holes. The bore holes will have sleeves inserted to keep them open while he works on me. It will be irrigated with clean water so airborn bacteria will not have much chance to take hold. There will be two or three stitches to each hole. after a week I will remove my own stitches. He asked if I could get them removed locally and i said i could do it. I said in the past I just cut the stitch with a razor blade and pulled them out with my teeth.

He said no don't do that and gave me a kit with scissors and tweezers to pull them.

Will you have to stand before a death panel before you get this done?

If the doc prescribes rehab ......DO THE REHAB ! I know every situation is somewhat different (I had a torn cuff + bone spurs, surgery was done under anesthetic, shoulder was sliced, arm in 90 degree sling for 6 weeks) and my outcome after rehab was better than the doc had predicted. A friend had surgery, thought rehab was too much trouble and now has an almost immobile arm.

Do the rehab.

[/unsolicited anecdotal advice]

Good advise/testimony.

You only get a couple shots at the rotator cuff surgery, I have heard. Blowing off rehab would be foolish IMO.

Tom, why aren't you doing your exercises?

But seriously, good luck with the recovery! I've heard that shoulder surgery is a real toughie. Hope you make it out well. Maybe you can go pitch for the Cubs after. Can't be any worse than what they have now.
