The back part of the development uses a very spacious layout. Most of the development is a traditional housing development layout with curvy roads and cul-de-sacs. I was *extraordinarily* lucky to get this place when I did. The neighbors beside my house haven’t been in the area since the downturn and I only see the people across the street sometimes during the winter when I’m on a walk. They don’t stay in the area during warm months.


This is the first time I’ve come across a big dead critter on the property, and I’m (obviously) bordering on obsessive, but haven’t had time to visit. When I first learned of this, I contacted the local animal control to see if they would remove it for a fee, but they refused, and suggested burying it, contacting an animal rendering service, or waiting a while. The rendering service didnt return the call.

I too have been swatted by the downturn.

Why do you doubt the veracity of the anti-Walmart crowd? There is currently no WalMart that's convenient to me, so I don't shop there.

The HOA has rules and you should read them to find out what the Guard is allowed to do.

At the next HOA meeting simply bring the Subject up that you don't want the Guard coming on to your Property.
If they say there is nothing you can do about it; then you are stuck. But, it is more likely they will instruct the Guard to stay away.

Firstly, the "caretaker" has no rights to trespass on your property without your permission. Period.

However, unless you wish to prosecute said trespasser, or try to implicate the homeowners association in the act of trespass, the effective result is moot.

Personally, other than the technical violation of your rights, I don't see the tort in this situation. The "caretaker" is, presumably, acting in your best interests by advising you of any problems with your property while you are not habitating it.

If you really wish to pursue this issue, I would send a certified letter to the homeowners association (the employer of the "caretaker") advising them that you do not wish the caretaker to trespass on your property for any reason whatsoever. This should effectively get the result you seek.

I seriously doubt you will ever get a criminal complaint placed for trespassing in this situation where you are not at the premises and he is an employee of the association.

It does strike me as a bit odd that you're concerned about a person who is, presumably, interested in your own welfare and best interests.

The lovely Ms engatwork and I do our weekly grocery shopping at WalMart which is in the next town over. We purchase meat at the local slaughterhouse which is about 30 miles away. The meat at the slaughterhouse is alot fresher than the meat at the WalMart and you can get them to cut steaks and pork chops as thick as you want it.

I don't like their meat. Not sure if is is an issue of freshness or low quality to begin with. I have sworn off that. But if it were say oil or canned food, they are cheaper than the competition.
