So, in other words, let's drop some smelly dead bodies in Lee's back yard and the smell of rotting Union corpses will encourage Lee not to return home? Sounds JUST like Lincoln and those Northerners.

Just as I thought, I'm surprised Quartermaster General Montgomery Meigs didn't stack dead Union corpses on Lee's front porch to serve as a deterrent to Lee's return to Arlington. Such a classy fellow!

No such thing as the south anymore, you guys lost, its over.

The cemetery is national, and the first batch of bodies is in Lee's garden because he betrayed his country.

Some southern states are strange in this sense they still think the war is going on.

That's funny right there bro. You see what happened is, the South lost the war and was not in the position to dictate terms. Lee was insulted? Why that's just the saddest thing I ever heard.

The political leaders of the Confederacy said the war was lost. The military leaders begged for a cessation of hostilities.
That makes you, and your "Southern brethren" unpatriotic traitors, doesn't it?

But I would agree that southern states are more wishful of a return to federalism than non-southern states.
