1) The mark you are looking for is inside the distributor. With the "0" mark on the front pulley the rotor must point to cylinder #1 terminal post, else rotate the front pulley 360 degrees further.
2) I had the same question here in Germany for my 420SL (Type 107). The answer from two older German Mercedes experts is: Only one spring is used in this distributor type. Best regards, Michael |
