Sudenly car won't start 1987 300E

Went out today and car would not start. After a while I got it to idle... it will idle somewhat roughly for some seconds and then shut off. Giving the car gas with pedal seems to have no effect. I sense no problem with timing or spark... seems to be fuel related.

The only thing that changed was a drop in temperature to about 20 degrees F.

Seems like a common type problem. Fuel pressure regulator seems OK. I pulled it and checked it out... no cracks on circuit board.

(Edit) I mean fuel relay was pulled not pressure regulator)

Could use some help on this one.

Thanks.
