Until reading PA2TU's post above, I was about to write that Bosch has never been an OE filter supplier for Mercedes. Maybe that has now changed? Until I hear more, I'll likely stick with the filters that I know are OE suppliers.

I believe that Knecht was OE for the 99 C280. A quick check at ********az .com showed the filter for your car at $38. Bosch is listed as an 'alternative' choice. IMO, ******** does about the best job in explaining the differences between OE, OES, and Aftermarket and presents the OE/OES part as first displayed when you do a search. At any rate, I'd stick with Knecht, especially at that price.

1. Knecht 2. MANN 3. Bosch
