Personally I love the car. Any W115 that is still on the road is a good one. What did you do with the OM616 that came out? Was it still in running order? |

There are so many things I could say, however, in order to maintain a somewhat non slanderous tone. Why post this here? The jewel of the car, the million mile engine has been removed. The brilliant German suspension is, well, modified. What help from us could you possibly need?

There's a market for all kinds of slammed cars. Especially slammed W115s. There's at least two aficionados of them that have shown up on PP forums. I remember the guy with the slammed W115 220D or 240D in Denver a couple years back - an absolutely gorgeous slammer. He posted lots of pics around an old town warehouse district of his W115 in Denver as I recall. It's like hip-hop or rap music - not everyone is going to like it but many of us do. I loves me some hip-hop. I'm way down with hip-hop 'n slammed Mercedes-Benzes. There's a place for 'em here! Just bring 'em on Brother Man TN slammer!

This is the best thing you could have done for this car. Good job.

I think I'm going to notch my pan to let the engine go back some more. I don't like how far forward it sits.

i like it as well, but why have a car that is too low for your driving ability? raise just to the point where you stop breaking stuff... i don't know, just my opinion

Paint that pan before it rusts! At least a clear coat
Don't mind the old purists-there's a time for restoration, and a time for modding. I'd rather see a slammed w115 with a hunk of iron v8 in it that actually gets driven. 302 is a great choice, IMO. Tons of aftermarket support. Consider the all-too-frequent alternative-the original owner dies, the kids don't know what to do with it, and it gets scrapped. If you have to cut the braces just weld/bolt in new ones that fit around the engine. Easy-peasy. Can you sink a rear-facing pan in there? For the rear end-unless you stand on it you will be A-OK. If it pops, break out the measuring tape and make a v8 Mercedes rear end fit.

What are you doing for cooling the engine? It looks really far forward in the pictures (granted one is with the fish eye lens)
