240 compressor install- Gen 2 bracket
I finally got around to installing the first gen 2 bracket on my 240. My photobucket is not working right now, so I will post photos when it gets fixed. It seems that the 240 has more room than a 617 for the compressor on the height, so the stock top port rear head will work fine. No need for the rear port head. If the photo was here, you would see that there is plenty of room for adjusting the belt tension, and even at maximum, the compressor does not touch the frame. A belt (15385) will be provided in the kit for use on all 617's, but a shorter belt will be needed for 240D (616) installations (size will be provided). I will let you all know how it all works when I get the hoses made, and the system charged. For now, I know it will fit and I will start welding them up. I will then get all the parts cad plated, and then the kits will be ready to sell....Rich
