Good Morning:
Any advice on an upgrade of the stock speakers for a 92 300TE? I would like to upgrade but am concerned about keeping the original openings. Noticed comments about MB Quart. Are there other solutions? Must one be careful about stock crossovers, power consumption, etc. Thanks in advance for any help. By the way, my listening runs from Classical to Jazz to Blues to Hendrix. CMOSS |

Boston Acoustics endorsement
I run 3 way MBQuarts in my 500E w/ 100W/side minimum continuous power (PPI Amp). They sound downright crappy unless considerably tweaked; then they can be made to sound fabulous. Thankfully I run a parametric EQ so I was able to dodge that bullet.
I run BA 2-way components in the front of my wagon, and only running head unit power they sound very, very nice. I've got an amp, I'm just stalling for warmer weather before I pop it in. But I ran the same 6 1/2" separates in my bro's Acura Legend, and with a LOT of power they sound just that much better. Buy the best ones you can afford, but near as I can tell their entire range is really solid. Just my $.02. Good luck BTW, on a '92 300TE, what are the stock speaker sizes? Are there woofers in the doors?
