190 bumper covers
For anybody with rubber covered bumpers:
Does anybody make any kind of plastic cover for rubber covered bumpers on my 190, the kind that came on later series E and S cars? Seems like it wouldn't be very hard to manufacture a cover that could gluwe on or snap in position. A color-matched cover would sure spiff up an older vehicle. Any ideas? Thanks gwinn SW PA area |

Not sure if I follow you on this one, as far as I know there is no rubber trim on the 190E bumpers. Your bumper cover is a ABS type of plastic material and so is the black impact strip. If you want to upgrade the look of the bumpers, you can paint the bumper cover body color (if not already so) and to replicate the look of the later model cars, you can paint the black plastic impact strip the same color as your bumper. This will update the look of your 190 quite a bit.
Feel free to visit my web page and see what this treatment looks like (I did it on my 190) |
