heres a thought. I think this is the case with my car, but im not sure. My valves are very tight, haven't been done for like 40k miles. I have been meaning to do them, but havent had time. COuld the tight valves be bypassing boost because I have my wastegate adjusted ALL the way and I can still only get like 10 PSI. Reason that I suspect the valves is that when its at the 10 PSI the needle shivers.

Any ideas?

I just adjusted my valves and have boost set at 12psi. Needle shiver has nothing to do with anything other than pressure differential in the tubing. Mine shudders too. If one were able to put liquid in the gauge/line, I believe it would virtually eliminate needle shudder due to a dampening effect. I have searched this and other diesel truck forums and everyone seems to confirm that - even with the more expensive boost gauges.
