pearl black 1983 240d 4speed (Converted!@$$%) atleast the tranny was rebuilt.

I think you have found the perfect amount of rack travel. In all seriousness, the cure to your problem here is just simply a good bra. Possibly a nice red, satin and lace push up bra. Then check your injector when you work on mounting. Please post pics once you have completed your work, but if I were you, I would NEVER be finished with those!!!

From the look of things...I believe that the idle speed is to high. At least it's a place to start.

The problem now is weeding out which is the best response to the shaking problem.....

As seriosly as I can say it, adjust the valves b4 you do anything. Get to the root of the problem....

Can I do a test drive and see how bad is it?
Let me pull my "injector" out and squirt test for pressure and spray pattern while the "rack" is shaking, we'll go from there and see how it goes.
