Wow ... now I don't feel like I can brag about my 364,000-mile 240D, much less my 263,000-mile 87 300D. Very impressive!

Both of my dad's cars qualify....his '82 300SD has 321k on it with original trans, but not original engine. (original blew a ring or something around 313k...we swapped it out....still ran, but burned oil/smoked like heck, and had hardly any power)

His '83 300SD has 307k or so.....original engine AND trans....not sure if the trans has ever been rebuilt. This year we did a 2.47 swap on it too, so its a great cruiser.

My '82 300SD will be approaching 300k quickly.....as I drive about 81 miles a day for work.....and I am at 285,364 right now......so I should reach 300k around next July or August! The people at work will think I am insane. I have the oldest car BY FAR of anyone.....oldest car in the lot is probably a '99 or newer....

HOW TRUE! I was excited when I was driving Milo who's now up around 220,000....well on his way to 300K. But now that may daily driver is Otis (daughter has Milo for next two years), with only 85,000 miles, I somehow feel like I'm back at the beginning of the race!

OK so who has passed this milestone?

Rudolf now has 305,000 on his clock, how about you?
My last, (and probably best) Mercedes-Benz diesel was an '83 300SD with 305K miles on-the-clock, when I replaced it as my daily-driver, and bought an E300TD new, in '99. It sold in one week parked in front of my home for full asking - $4,950.00. Most everything worked on it - cruise, A/C, moonroof, all lights, instrument cluster-tach, etc. no rust either......great car.

My 81 240d has about 390k on it and is driven almost daily along with the 84 300TD that has 311k! My 86 F350 4x4 with the 6.9 just turned 300k 2 weeks ago. Seems like it would be time to update my fleet, but if it ain't broke why fix it!!

350,869 on the clock as of today. We're starting to get a little hard to start in the cold Also at idle, blue smoke. Drive away and the smoke disappears. Original engine and trans!

Let me toss my hat in the ring too. Bought '83 SD last sping and it had 310K on the clock. Odo was (and is) non functional. No idea how long it has been broken. Starts, runs, and drives great. Looks good too.
