The guy in this video is an idiot, but at least you get to see how the flexx gun and flexx boots work. Armando shot and uploaded this sideways. Just lay down to watch it....

CV Flex Boot Mercedes W123 - YouTube

Loser........
that's the gun I use (and rent out), and it works great. it's much easier to use than that guy makes it out to be... there's no need to pull from the little end, just grab the boot and pull it off. it'll go inside out at the end, but it's easy to just pull it back to the can and it'll go back right side out.
also, there is no need to expand the tool to get it off. just pull it up and out.
my gun has had the fingers polished smooth. I didn't like the stamped edges that the tool comes with, so I hit them on the grinder, and polished up the result.
I think the tool works better this way.
and I've not split a single boot since.

The Flexx gun is the only intelligent way to replace a boot. Very thick rubber on the replacement units.

Yes the funnel works too ... but about as much fun as putting a condom on a less than appreciative elephant.

Well there is an in between Choice.
Buy the Cone made by Astoria or buy and Astro Pneumatic Cone and enlarge the ID as I did and use only the Cone part.
I don't advise using the Tongs that are in the picture as I ripped a Boot with the Tongs. I did not rip any Boots when I used the Cone by itself.
