You might own or have owned a half dozen older diesels and wonder how in the hell they got that W123 in Ronin to smoke it's tires.....(yes I know the smoke was CGI and the W123 in question was a gasser but those tires were spinning(well, I know it was a gasser now but it didn't register when I first saw the movie)

You (and everyone else) knows you own a Diesel because the sound man on the film set asks you to park down the street.

You wave truck by before starting up the hill in your 240. And they wave back to thank you!

You have no idea what the price of gas is, and could care less.

You have no idea what AC is, and could care less.

You have never seen an odometer with less than 100 miles on it.

You might own a diesel IF...

You Might Own A Diesel If:

After working on your car you volunteer to hand wash the dishes to try to get your hands clean since you either forgot to use gloves or the gloves broke.

- you carry a spare alternator in your trunk
- you carefully fill your gas tank "to the brim" each time

and of course, you love the smell of diesel in the morning

If you think that adding a 'jake brake' to your car to defy the 'truckers refrain from using engine retarder brakes in the city of..." would be an absolute hoot.

I thought of this too, maybe make a recording of a Jake brake on a CD. then with some good amplifiers and speakers................... HMMM..... Vail, CO comes to mind, with all those tender eared Yuppies up there, and turned up loud late at night .

you constantly point out every one you see on the hwy, parking lot and in driveways, and gas stations.

You stop and talk to an owner about his car. Hey, nice car, I have one too etc...

You cry everytime you see one in the JY.

If you state how many hundred thousand miles are on your car at every opportunity.

I love watching gasser owner shocked/amazed expressions, when I invite them to look at the odometer.
