You might own a diesel if you truthfully tell your friends that you can go 800 miles on a tank and they're like "wtf." Then your wife pipes in "no, it's like 450" and then you're like "wtf."

You might own a diesel MB if, when your buddy's car needs $500 in transponder keys, you think to yourself "I bet I could buy a Mercedes for $500 and it will last more months than the $250 key you just gave your wife to replace the ones she keeps losing."

Some people just don't get it.

You might own a diesel if it takes you longer to clay-bar the trunk lid than the entire rest of the car.

You might own a Diesel if going 25 mph presents no problem and does not require using the brake pedal.
You might own a Diesel if Friends are shocked when you tell them your fuel cost 45 cents a gallon.
You might own a Diesel if You don't mind running all over town so you can check out the lastest fix to you mercedes or just to check on your buddies progress.

The Australian monster is a 13 ton (28,660 pound) two-wheeler devised by Ray Baumann, a stunt driver. It is 9 meters (29.5ft) long, more than 3 meters (9.8ft) high and is powered by a Detroit Diesel truck engine.

Cant wait to show my step dad the flatbed one. He owns three.
We also ran a bull wagon so the chicken one was pretty good too.

You might own a diesel if:

You remove the oil cap and more smoke is coming out the valve cover than the exhaust, and while putting the cap back on your thinking

"it should last at least another 100,000 miles"

The train brought it to mind. reminded me of my 240D
