I've posted many times that Febi is "mostly" a re-packer of parts, some are OE quality.

The OE quality on the 123-241-30-13's is Phoenix.

That ain't good. The last time I bought any Febi parts they weren't from China AFAIK. BUT that was a while back. I know Üro parts are not all that good but it saddens me to learn our choices are narrowing.

Bosch is the same way. I'm not sure they are made in China, but I've seen "Bosch made in Brazil" on a voltage regulator. I believe Bosch parts come out of India as well.

Delpi does a lot in India. They are the electronic injectors.

The argument is that if they have the same latest manufacturing equipment, they should be able to make them!!

Down here we like to get drive train parts for earth moving equipment out of the USA as the steel is tougher. The European stuff is case hardened a lot but the base metal is C##P. Once you break the surface, there is no strength. The same goes for Asian/ Chinese stuff.

wtf?

It's been other countries for a few years now. Pretty much mbdoc summed it up.

Febi really ought to update their website. "Solutions made in Germany" is an outright lie.

I have an odder one. I bought a Thermostat for my Diesel Volvo and on the Box it said Made in Israel; on the part it had Made in Germany.

I order a pair of Gabriel Shock Absorbers. On was made in the US and the other was made in Mexico.

The Bosch Oil Filters I use have "See Product For Country Of Origin" on the box but when you look on the Oil Filter there is no Country of Origin on them.

I am also seeing products that have a list of as many as 4 countries the product could have been made in on the label.

The chinese motor mounts are junk, we ended up with some the same way, unintentionally....we used them anyways, and they collapsed in a few months. Total junk.

Your thermostat is easy to explain, the box was made in Israel !!
Your Oil filters sound Korean.

We get some things down here that have "made in Australia from local & imported parts" ~ it has 1 screw in it from Australia, who knows where the rest came from !!
