I may have been mistaken earlier thinking my trap oxidizer is still on my 87 300 TDT. There is an exhaust part that looks like a catalytic converter around the middle of the undercar. Is that it? Or is the trap oxidizer up closer to the engine/turbo? Or does it have a trap oxidizer and a cat?

But I guess he separated his motorcycle business and is only doing an eBay store.

The trap oxidizer that was the subject of MB's recall is the large, football shaped thing that was located to the left (as you face it) of the cam cover. It should have been replaced with a insulated cast iron pipe.

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for. I believe I can make these better (mandrel bent tubing) and cheaper than $200 each. I would be using the flanges from the old trap, and welding in the tubing.
