1982 Mercedes Benz 240 Diesel - $5500 (Eugene)

http://images.craigslist.org/00v0v_a...AG_600x450.jpg

I am selling my 1982 Mercedes Benz 240 Diesel. It is in great shape and absolutely beautiful when cruising it down the street. I am the second owner and have all records, work done, original accessories. The mileage is 180,000 but as you probably know, these great cars average up to 500,000 or more if routinely basics are performed. The reason I am selling it is that I am a student at the University of Oregon and plan on traveling after graduation and I don't have the means to have it properly taken care of in the manner it really deserves. Email me and we can talk. Trust me, I really do not want to part ways with this car. I love her but life is calling. Thanks for looking. It is an OR car, I had the title switched from when I purchased it in Chico, CA.

Not sure if this qualifies as a turd, but it's been for sale now for a long time. Every time I search for an old Mercedes here in Alaska, this thing pops up. It's a grease car. It's the reason I didn't went to look at it, when I bought my own W123 down in Anchorage. This one was for sale then too. The center console in the interior is not exactly pretty. Asking price might be a little steep'ish...

'80 Mercedes 300SD "Grease Car" - $2300

Classic looks. Has some rust, good interior. 300627mi, engine rebuilt at 274298mi. Starts and runs good. Grease Car WVO kit installed, two tank system, one diesel and one straight veggie oil, so no need for bio-diesel. Transmission shifts fine but is slipping in 4th , have a spare transmission that goes with the car. Comes with three sets of wheels, two alloy and one steel, two good sets of studded tires and many other spare parts.

Sometimes I wonder why I do a nation wide Craigslist search once in a while, I curse thy Google as it takes me to towns I've never heard of ( though I do hear banjos so paddle faster. )

Not much to see from 2 pics, front bumper is on the ground and a fuzzy engine pic.

""
I have a 2000c230 supercharged needs alittle work trun signals don't work and has a missed is low as hell and streat piped runs good as long as you don't go over half throble open to treads just ask something to play in the mud with would be best but street bikes just about anything ""

Translation
I have a 2000 Mercedes C 230 Kompressor that needs the following repairs:

Turn signals don't work
Engine runs rough over half throttle.
Probably some other issues that I'm not aware of.

Car has had the suspension springs removed and replaced with logs, exhaust is wide open. I sold the catalytic converter to buy crack.

I'll take anything on an even trade that is worth way more than this car. ( I'm counting that you are on crack )

Why not just put some Big Rig wheels on it?

This is SO sad.

It's hard to imagine that someone actually thought this is a good idea.

Ceristimo 08-10-2015 01:48 PM

Whahaha...A Mercedes Hi-Riser. That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. As are most of those weird Hi-Riser cars!
There's a mid '90's Buick LeSabre Hi-Riser here in town. Looks like that Mercedes as far as wheel size goes.
I've found myself driving behind in on a few occasions, and that thing STRUGGLES to get up to speed, let alone go up over the overpass. It's revving high and loud, but just not speeding up much. Instead of having a first through fourth gear, that thing now has a fourth through seventh!... :D Hilarious.
