Not to mention the price. Were that a diesel, that'd be the steal of the century. Especially for 040, which as we all know, is the very best color :D |

There are no European Import 300SDs, or all 300SDs are European imports depending on how you look at it.

Okay, this isn't a CL turd, but an Ebay turd. Hopefully you will allow it. It is an ad for NOS injector nozzles. The key detail is they are supposedly NOS that were made in W. Germany. Look carefully at the photos. Notice how new all the packaging appears. Look carefully at the last one. If you cannot read what it says on the injector container, I will tell you what it says at the end of my post.
This offer/listing is for One (1) Only, VERY Rarely seen and Dis-Continued/Obsolete, New Old Stock "Robert Bosch" Made in Western-Germany, Factory OEM Diesel Fuel Injection Nozzle Assembly(Fits into tip of injector). Related applications are for most of the 1963-73 W110 and W115 Heckflosse and /8 Mercedes-Benz 190Dc, 200D and 220D Series model vehicles! Related part# are 0 434 250 011, 0434250011 and 126 33012 101. This Part is in mint condition, withou any minor, very light scuffs/scratches, out from after over 10 years of dry dealership storage. Please study all photos carefully, check your measurements, ask any questions and double check/compare your actual needed part# to our listing prior to bidding. All NOS parts are subject to some possible deterioration, oxidation and shelf-ware from age and long term storage. For this reason we can offer NO Warranty on New Old Stock Parts! Punchline: "Made in India" 2nd Punchline: This ad has a price of $20. "Stone-Auto" sells them for $12. |
A real turd burger
1992 Mercedes 300 Turbo D
Wasted my time going to look at this yesterday. Owner was persistent on mentioning that it is a one owner, low miles, dealer serviced, all records, excellent condition blah blah blah. Guess he forgot to mention that... CC blower inop Sunroof jammed OAT display dead Cruise control inop Rear right door wouldn't open Mediocre re spray paint job Completely dry rotted tires Headliner badly sagging Driver side mirror adjustment handle broke off Tiny lil bottom shelf walmart 600cca battery installed with terrible hacked up wiring Original style vacuum pump(I knew this but he could not have understood the importance of that) All that I could have dealt with with a significant reduction in his asking price until... I noticed a quarter sized rusty cornflakes spot right in the crevice of the rear windshield seal. Checked in the trunk under the tire well and in the fender wells. Fairly moist not crazy wet. Ok, let me continue the search for water/water damage. Driver side under carpets wet not soaked. Passenger side under carpets HOLLY SMOKES!! A freaking swamp. Sound deadener material crumbling. Stank dank nasty. At this point I'm hella discouraged. I offered 1750, he balked, I walked. He wouldn't go lower than 4000. Yeeaahh... Good luck with that. |

Looks like a decent parts car. It has a rebuilt trans. I'm assuming it overheated from him saying it has a "cracked engine block". The ad is pretty funny. |
