Ha! weak sauce. Apparently you don't live in an area where salt laced with magnesium chloride is dumped by the truck load onto the roads to melt snow.

Magnesium chloride will continue to pull moisture from the air causing rust well into the summer unless it is thoroughly washed off.

Nope, I live in sunny Central California, where rust is not even something we think to check for! It's wonderful.

smells a lil frankenkahr to me

FWIW, that stroll onto the beach will be its only, most likely. Looks lke seller's idea of bedazzling the listing. Being a benz it prolly got a bath twice as frequently as the other kids so a quick salt dusting is ni. I've purchased a few vehicles after having been parked on the street in beach communities (CDM, Redondo, Cayucos!) for five/six yrs and at worst were some surface spots and one W126 where the underside of rear deck, inside trunk between hood hinges was all surface rusted, nothing requiring repair though. Subjected to winter after winter of salt is what it takes to kill even the crappiest of apac garbage. Pretty sad to witness, too.

Here's an emasculated turd:

You'd think a dealer would be better at knowing their market. Much rather see stock alloys or whatever came standard that year, ow decent if not pricey.

Those are the stock 17" wheels for the year.

Sport package cars got thinish spoke 18" AMG Momoblock wheels.

The dealer knows it's market by offering loans to bad credit buyers. The "buy here, pay here" lots price the car high in order to cover the risk of default. Also, with buy here, pay here, large sums of unaccounted for cash can be slowly rolled into a car where a large transaction would trigger some govt scrutiny.

The issue I have with the dealer is the jumble of non related to the ad key words at the bottom. This just screams low rent.

1959 190D diesel Mercedes

Three speed column

Inline 4 cylinder diesel runs amazing these motors are known to go 500,000-1000000 miles. This will get better mpg than your 2016 Toyota Corolla and be worth more tens years from now.
Also it never needs tags!

The paint is nice it was professionally painted about 8 years ago. The interior was redone and looks new. Headliner is very nice door panels nice.
No rust through the floors or door jams no rust in the trunk. This car has been well maintained and it shows.
Could use little things here and there to make it show quality but wouldn't take much.
This car will only go up in value and it's a great investment.

This would be a great candidate for biodiesel.

Asking $9800
Please email to set up an appointment

If you look in the photos, you can pretty clearly see rust in the door jambs. Doubtless it's a nice car, but there's a lot of mess hiding under the mats. The claim of better MPG than a 2016 Corolla and worth more in ten years is laughable.

At least it doesn't have a new "water bomb", and not "asking $9500" because it's
"designed to last forever".
$150 sounds fair.

Thumbs up Craigslist DEAL

As long as you can tow it home, this is worth well more than $150.00, I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was close and I had where to stash it .

For a Mechanic or DIY'er, parts cars are priceless *if* you do good works as they provide gone missing bits and bobs as well as often critical brackets, hard ware, un cracked cylinder heads, spare suspension lobes, on and on and.....

In Mendocino county, you're more likely to find a new water bong in any given car...

https://salem.craigslist.org/cto/d/1974-f250-truck-no-moter-4x4/6424757190.html

Someone is 1. wayyyyyyyyyyyyy out of touch with reality and 2. going to be trying to sell that truck for a very long time.

Edit: Folks, when you post an ad, PLEASE copy and paste the text of the ad into your post, and save the pics and upload them to the forum. Not just copy and paste the photos into your post(which usually just hyperlinks them to the original source), actually upload them to the forum. In a decade or a year or a month or probably even just a week, most of these ads will be gone, the link will go nowhere, your post will be meaningless. If you C&P the text + upload the photos, everything stays put as long as the forum is up and future visitors can enjoy your post as well.
