There is barely enough room for the hoses, and it is very difficult to tighten everything up. The hose kit is made for horizontal fittings, so NO the vertical port compressor will not work. You can get a rear port head for less than $15, so that is what I would suggest to do. You need the "K" head for a 5 cyl, and a "KG" (I think that is the model#) for a 7.....Rich
