There is a little Plate on the Fuel Supply/Lift Pump that has the Model Number of the Lift Pump; any Bosch Shop can tell you if they make a kit for the Lift Pump.

I have some good news.... After going outside to get the pics and specs, one thing led to another.... Mr injection pump is now resting on a counter top.
A 1/4 inch drive ratchet was the key. Now the numbers From startek- Ip - A617 070 0101 Replaced by A617 070 0501 Bosch RW350/2200MW 11 Then the green tag on the top side 62387679 PES5MW 55/320 RS4 0403 245 004 Casted on pump 1415 115 701 The lift pump Something, something K22MW3( See Pictures) Car Vin# 115.114 12 048686 Motor #(1st number under valve cover, on the front of block) 617 015 0301 Now then, the bottom shaft is turning fine(that drives the lift pump). The pump seems to be working ok. The plunger works. The shaft above the bottom shaft moves as well. After that, I'm kinda at a loss of what to look for or do..... Besides checking for the stuck plungers up top( Thats next). There are many adjust areas in the rear(behind the cover). What else can I do, test, check, adjust or take apart to investigate it? Well, after a inspection of the barrels, just the 1st one. It moved nicely. For what ever reason I removed the two nuts on the side of barrel no 1. Me so sorry.......
I didn't move it, so hopefully no harm was done. About the plunger- it has a hole in the middle, a slot on one side, and slanted oddly on one side. Is that right? I wonder if the lift pump just didn't have enough pressure to run it? Maybe it was leaking down? As you can tell, I'm not highly specialized in this area.. Sounds like you have this style
It should be replaced with this style The first one is the original style and they are known to leak and suck in air...this may be your only problem and the lift pump is still okay

I took a look at the pressure relief spring, it was a hair under 20mm. She needs stretchin a tad. That may be part of me problem.... I will still at least rebuild the lift pump, and install some motor mounts-its a great time to do it. Also some spring cleaning around it. I still think there is more to it than that little spring...... A thought just hit me. When the car would clog it self a while back, the primer handle would not return...Once everything was clear-all was ok. Is that normal? |

You probably don't need this now...
...but here's the FSM information just in case it is useful.
The right hand side set of numbers are for the lift pump. (next set from the right are for the governor)

Is there any other things to look for, adjustment wise inside the pump? |

Is that DGK301 the same as DGK301H(the h kit has a later style primer with it)?

You said this in your first post => Quote:
There is a lot of information available on the internet - to be honest I'm a bit confused by it all. Some of the advice given is hotly contested - it is a bit of a mine field. Generally speaking most people who want a tuned injector pump seem to think that the only people who can do it live in Finland... ...the one thing that I'm sure of is that most adjustments need fine tuning on a test rig. (I'm planning on building my own - wanna race?)

Alright then. So it looks like i will fix what ever leaks, get a lift pump repair kit, stretch-or replace that 1 spring. Then try my luck with putting it all back together. It will be a little while for all of this.
I shall return to give an update when I figure something out |

I cannot see any Valves or the O-ring in the Kit but it appears to have new springs and all of the Crush Washers. I searched on the internet some and can't find a site that tells you what is supposed to be in the kit. I also did not look up and see if the Hand Primer part number is the correct one.

It could be it is simply gumed up inside and needs a cleaning. I have also seen where the little Valve Springs have broken or corroded through. Leave the 13mm Nuts on each side of the Element alone. The adjust the Fuel amount that each Element puts out by rotting the Element. The catch is you need a Calibration Machine to see how much the amount is when you rotate the Element. The shims that are between the Element Flange and the Aluminum Injection Pump Housing determing the begin of Injecton for each cylinder and are drip timed to each lobe of the Fuel injection Pump Camshaft.
