W210 OM606 smoke coming from under the plastic beauty panel on the head.

Hi all,

I've got a 1997 e300 with the non-turbo om606. I've got a little bit of smoke coming from under the plastic panel on head. It's coming from a specific area, probably cylinder 5. I haven't torn into it yet, but I'm unfamilar with these motors.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a gasket that will need to be replaced if I remove the intake cross over tube? I know the pcv is in that area, and i'm not sure if an oil leak can occur at the injector.

The vehicle is new to me, and the only real diesel experience I have is with 6.0 Powerstrokes. I know leaky injector o-rings can cause oil leaks, but the 6.0 uses oil pressure to actuate the injectors.

Thanks!

Also, everything is worthless without pics!
