Looks like I am getting another MB. 190D
Member on here sent me an ad for a 190 euro 2.0L automatic... no head... (what is it with me finding these with bad heads?)
Went out and looked at it, clean, rust free, sunroof partly open with water in the floorboards... head removed, cam rusting in the trunk...

124 wheels, decent tires... made a deal on it, and will be bringing it to my office shop, and swapping something into it...

Suggestions?

Well, with an autobox, it will need something more than the N/A 4banger. A 5cyl Turbo would move it pretty good. That would be my first choice if I were in your place.....Rich

It's been done but you'll need the m103 radiator support, give up AC to move the radiator even further forward and you can forget the air/air intercooler. And 2100lbs is just wishful thinking unless you want to drive around in an empty shell. There are easier ways to go fast.

Any idea what the euro 2.0L 190D weighs?

Seller said the doors aren't reinforced, and the overall body is lighter than the us spec 190... I was just guessing at 2100... and of course, the 606 with turbo is much heavier...

The seller just texted me that another cl guy is coming over to look at the car and wants to pay full price for the car...

I met with the guy, looked over the car, and agreed with him on a price... he had to leave town so wanted to meet me tomorrow to settle up on the car.

Now he wants to know if I can match the offer on the car, because he really wants the car to go to me, with all I do on Mercedes... grrr... I feel like I am being hustled... dang.
