Blank for EGR
Is it possible just blank the EGR only without getting the W163 diesel into limp mode.

I doubt it. You will need some sort of electronics that "fool" the computer into thinking the EGR is there and working. The OM606 in the W210 is fairly easy with about a dollar in parts, and the CDI is a little more complicated. Yours may work with the same hack as the CDI. Many threads available here on the subject.

I am not sure that will work for your application, but for the cost, it may be worth a try. You won't have much to loose......Rich
