How often was the differential gear oil changed? If it has 300k miles on the original factory fill, no wonder it's on its last legs.

I have no clue, no records. I know, stupid move on me buying a car, a MERCEDES, without service records.

I'll change it again, once I feel better, i'm very sick, weak, and sore. Don't even know how I made it out of work today.
