I have heard about "software updates" for these cars, is that what you are talking about? If so, I am willing to put up the $ to have it done. Also, it seems I am getting into the W211 platform more and more (3- W211's in my family now, and a friend with one that I service when the need arises), so I see a STAR diagnosis system purchase in my future.

Look up ebay seller gordysgadgets, he is in the US and charges $500 for the full kit.

Don’t wire over $1000 to Hong Kong and pray it doesn’t get held up in customs.

x2 on getting a system from Gordysgadgets. You'll still be glad that you have your iCarSoft unit to keep in the trunk.

Hooray!

I don't know exactly what I did, but I finally got the message to go away. Before, I got to the confirmation screen, but it did not confirm. I was able to find the screen that had the date of service, and found that it was set at 12/17. I set the year to 19, and it confirmed the service. If I don't have the car in two years, the new owner will have to figure it out. I think if you somehow get to the service date screen, you may be able to find out when the reminder is scheduled to appear. Again, I am not sure how I got there or what buttons I pushed, but it is fixed and I am happy!
