Rebuild brake booster?

I've been trying to buy a fully functional brake booster for about 7 months now. Every brake booster I've bought online through eBay has come with a leak inside the diaphragm. I seriously cannot find one good working brake booster! Would rebuilding my current one be a viable options?

Did you look at NAPA? They do have one for a 240D. They are not painted though.

Be sure that the seal (O ring) between the booster and master is new. This is a common oversight, and many boosters have been returned needlessly.

Post Leaky Vaccum In Brake Booster

What Rich said X 10 ! .

Amazingly it's possible to run and drive the car with this special O-Ring completely gone missing .

Rebuilt boosters are out there, I've had good luck with the junkyard ones .

If you can find a kit, it's easy to rebuild a booster.
